| Bio: | I've been a science fiction fan since I was quite small. Sitting in front of the TV watching the Saturday afternoon reruns of old films and serials such as The Day the Earth Stood Still, Forbidden Planet, Buck Rogers, etc., hooked me from the start. I also loved the early comic book adventures of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Batman and the rest. The fertile imaginations of the creators fueled mine. I've been dreaming up little fantasies and stories in my head ever since. It's kind of difficult to grow out of it. If I ever do, shoot me. In RL, I live in San Francisco. I came here for a vacation in 1986 and just couldn't leave. It took me two years to get home (overseas) again to pack up and ship my meager belongings to my new home. The City by the Bay is like that. I work in an office, which is a big groan. I studied chemistry and biology in college, but circumstances and sheer laziness on my part drove me into the paper pushing trade. I work so that I can live. Part of that living is watching and reading science fiction and fantasy, as well as writing fanfic. The writing part came only a couple of years ago when I discovered the Firefly online community and fan fiction. I felt like I had found long lost friends and kindred spirits! What a wonderous age I live in! While my fics are definitely not the quality I would like them to be, I am grateful that I can write them and that other people get to read them. I have received some very nice reviews, but I know people are being polite (bless their hearts). I just hope that my stories entertain and satisfy the readers. I have a lot of fun writing them, even though I am often frustrated with the process of getting the images that are playing in my head down on the laptop screen in a coherent manner. As you can see here, I have focused my energies on Stargate Atlantis. It is my current grand obsession. I know that one day, I will need to move on. While I am here, though, I will enjoy it. | ||||
